Pirate Pillowcases

About a month ago, we went to a craft fair being held at The Girl's school. One of the vendors was selling handmade pillowcases and The Boy was particularly drawn to one with pirates on it. The price tag was a bit hefty for me so we left without it. But The Boy never forgot that pillowcase.

Little did I know then that I would soon learn to make pillowcases. When we took our shopping trip to the fabric store on Black Friday, The Boy happened to find the same pirate fabric that was used in the pillowcases he liked. I wasn't about to buy the fabric right there in front of him, so I planned a later trip to the fabric store.

When The Girl chose a pillowcase for herself from the flannel ones I made, The Boy wanted to know when I was going to make him a pillowcase. I just told him I didn't find any flannel that I liked for his...

He'll get these on his birthday in a couple weeks...
