Amigurumi Lego Mini-figure - The Arms

Finally with the "Pickles" back in school, I can get back to working on their gifts - mainly, this Lego Mini-figure! The arms were a bit tricky - with their flat ends (at the wrists and the end of the sleeve) and a slight bend at the elbow. This one looked like a mini-figure with slightly bulging biceps...


...so I had to go back and try again. It's amazing what a difference one stitch makes...


I decided to use safety eyes in the arms as joints - though I used really big ones since I have had the smaller ones come out through the stitches after rough play.


I'm still brainstorming how to crochet the hands - how to make them curve without wiring them (so he can be washable). I'm thinking of possibly using plastic canvas in the hands and curving them with decreases...more experimenting...
