Birthday Celebration

My birthday, while thankfully it comes every year, has become less and less of a celebration and more like "just another day" on the calendar. Though my husband, bless him, tries so hard to make it more special than the average day.

This year he decided to decorate my cake. He has baked one for me before, but never attempted to decorate it beyond covering a cake with icing. It was a type of homage to my cake decorating hobby and to my newest hobby at the same time.

With a store bought jelly roll, a couple cans of frosting and a few instructions, he took over the decorating duties and created a skein of yarn for me, complete with a pair of chopstick knitting needles (a crochet hook was a little more difficult to "create"). I think he did a great job!
