Monday Moment

Okay, I call it that because it's Monday and I took the picture on Monday. But it works. It is a peaceful moment in the midst of the chaos that has been the past week.

The sled is one my father-in-law had when he was a boy. Then my husband had it when he was a boy. Now the kids have it (actually, I think it's meant for The Boy, but I don't really want to let The Girl in on that just yet). The sled is old and worn, but still surprisingly sturdy - and it sleds great!

I thought it looked nice sitting propped up against our weathered wooden fence so I snapped a picture. Then tonight, I decided I should start brushing up on Adobe Photoshop again. I don't use it much but I like to play around with it once in awhile. Most of my stuff is done in Fireworks, but I picked up a few things in a Photoshop workshop last year. I decided to see if I could remember a trick or two. The photo is the result...

I think I'll get a print of this, mount it on some card stock and send it as a postcard to my father-in-law.
