Colorado Film School 2010 Fall Student Show

This was our first time attending the Colorado Film School's Student Show. It was a chance for Mr. LH to see the kind of work his students were creating and see what areas could be improved upon.

The show was held at Harkins Theatres in Denver on Thursday, Dec 9th. Harkins Theatres in located in the middle of The Shops at Northfield Stapleton, a great open air shopping district that I plan to visit again soon, though maybe not until spring when it's a bit warmer. It's full of interesting restaurants (everything from The Twisted Olive to Toby Keith's Bar & Grill), ice cream and frozen custard spots, big chain stores (Macy's, JC Penny's, Office Depot) and smaller specialty shops.

Although the show is supposed to be similar to a "mini Oscars" ceremony, my first thought about attending the show was more like something resembling a groan. Student work is not something I really care to watch. That being said, I was very impressed! There were several pieces I really liked and was hard pressed to pick one as my choice for "Audience Favorite". Now that I know more of what to expect, I'm looking forward to the Spring 2011 show :)
